1. Commercial Plywood (MR Grade)

MR means moisture Resistant,  It’s best for use indoors on furniture, cabinets, wall panelling to name a few.  This is a reasonable priced, and very commonly used, in dry areas, such as living rooms and bedrooms.

Best For: Interior furniture, wardrobes, wall panelling

2. Marine Plywood (BWP Grade)

Waterproof plywood made with the best adhesives. Marine plywood is durable, and handles damp areas like kitchens and bathrooms well

Best For: Modular kitchens, bathrooms, and water exposed environments

3. BWR Plywood (Boiling Water Resistant)

This is plywood that has excellent water resistant properties , and is a more economical choice than marine plywood, but not as resistant to water. Very suitable for kitchens cabinets, and semi wet areas.

Best For: Kitchen furniture like cabinets, counter tops, and outdoor sheds and workshops.

4. Calibrated Plywood

Calibrated plywood is plywood of the same thickness with a smooth uniform surface. Calibrated plywood is commonly used in modular furniture because of the need to have a smooth finish, and in machine processes like CNC routing. 

 Best For: Modular furniture, CNC designs, laminated panels.

5. Shuttering Plywood

Intended exclusively for concrete formwork in building construction, shuttering plywood is strong, reusable and can endure moisture and pressure before it can be removed.

Best Uses:  building construction, slab casting, scaffolding

6. Flexible Plywood (Bendable Ply)

 The production of flexible plywood adheres to precise standards that ensure its suitability for creating curved surfaces and for use in imaginative furniture designs.  Flexible plywood most often is flexible and not hard to bend, especially on bends that are not too severe. 

 Best Uses: Suitable to help create a curved furniture element, providing detail complexity to the interior, and display units.
